Northern Nevada MGMA Monthly Meeting: July 18, 2017
Topic/Title: Active Shooter in the Workplace – Part I
Please join the Nevada MGMA for a special two part educational series about violence in the workplace
An active-shooter incident can occur at any time or place. In many cases, these incidents have no pattern or method to the selection of victims, which results in an unpredictable and evolving situation. In the midst of the chaos, anyone can play an integral role in mitigating the impacts of an active shooter incident. In most cases, active shooters use firearms and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. All employees can help prevent and prepare for potential active shooter situations. This course provides guidance to individuals so that they can prepare to respond to an active shooter situation. Due to the content and importance of this topic we are extending these two sessions by 30 minutes. They will run from 8:00 a.m. -9:30 a.m.
