    Position Title: Credentialing Specialist

    Position Description:

    • Responsible for all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes for medical providers. Responsible for ensuring providers are credentialed, appointed, and privileged with health plans, hospitals and patient care facilities. Maintain up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases and online systems; ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications. 
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
    • Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers
    • Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed
    • Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
    • Maintains corporate provider contract files
    • Maintains knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for credentialing providers
    • Tracks license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals
    • Ensures practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies and other entities
    • Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information
    • Maintains confidentiality of provider information
    • Provides credentialing and privileging verifications
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    SKILLS:
    • Knowledge and understanding of the credentialing process
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities

    Position Description:

    • Responsible for daily operations and supervision of assigned practice(s). Will maintain regulatory compliance and is responsible for maintenance of licenses/certifications, primary source validation, proper credentialing with health system medical staff office and payers. Collaborates with internal and external associates (CBO, marketing, quality team, business development, finance, A/P, payroll, human resources, c-suite, facilities, vendors, corporate and local administration) to ensure effective and efficient practice operations. Manages departmental expenses cost effectively, monitors revenue cycle operations, volume and revenue generation to assure practice budgets are met. Participates in provider and employee recruitment and onboarding. Demonstrates service excellence, conveys professionalism and maintain appropriate confidentiality at all times.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, QuickBooks Online, medical and billing terminology, healthcare or hospital office settings, service excellence, revenue cycle operations and recruiting, training, leading and performance management of staff. Multitasking, decision making, process improvement, project management, interpersonal, communication, leadership, computer proficiency, excellent customer service and business savvy.

    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The role of the Division Assistant Vice President serves as the second in command and chief operations officer in PSG’s largest divisions. The position serves as the market representative for the Division leadership, holding providers accountable to the contracted terms and ensuring that the interest of HCA Healthcare and the Division are met. The position will communicate regularly (monthly MOR and PRN) with the Division Vice President, Division CFO and the Divisions’ hospitals’ CEOs. This position monitors the activities and operations of all the programs components to ensure the programs meet the Division’s goals of improved quality, efficiency, volume, and patient / physician satisfaction.

    What you will do in this role:

    ·       You will assist the Division Vice President in providing leadership, direction, and management in large divisions (in excess of 40 providers) for all aspects of physician operations

    ·       You will ensure strategic initiatives, regulatory and HCA policies and procedures are implemented efficiently and effectively in all clinics

    ·       You will oversee the strategic direction to significant numbers of physicians and advanced practice providers often in geographically isolated areas and submarkets

    ·       You will work effectively with DVP, serving as liaison to hospital CEOs and Division Leadership to meet the needs of the organization and HCA Healthcare

    ·       You will help develop and drive the strategic direction of the markets in conjunction with the Division and the hospital CEOs

    ·       You will oversee the overall responsibility for the functions of the practices in the assigned markets to ensure maximum, utilization of resources and the efficient delivery of services

    ·       You will work effectively with HCA Physician Services management and support teams and the physician recruiting function of HCA Physician Services and hospital liaisons to support the placement of qualified physicians in employed practices

    ·       You will participate in annual budgeting process including analysis of staffing levels and recommends actions to eliminate negative variance

    ·       You will oversee and manage all employed physicians and practices in accordance with HCAPS standards and policies ensuring that each practice meets and/or exceeds their financial targets

    ·       You will be responsible for implementing and tracking all quality initiatives in conjunction with HCA and other regulatory standards, to include facilitation of quarterly quality reviews and providing for problem resolutions

    · Provides leadership, guidance, and organizational expertise to all staff members. Effectively communicates departmental activities to overall staff.

    · Establishes a high-performance team of staff that is efficient, knowledgeable, service-oriented, and shares responsibility for attaining the goals of the practice.
